MedMen expands its cannabis retail empire to Florida


MedMen (MMNFF), which is based in Los Angeles and operates 35 medical and recreational cannabis stores in the US, opened a 7,550-square-foot medical marijuana dispensary in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday.

The store is MedMen’s first in the Sunshine State, but the company has big plans there: Of the 15 dispensaries it’s looking to open this year, 12 are slated for Florida.

Nevada bans employers from refusing to hire people who fail marijuana…


(CNN) – Starting in January 2020, it will be illegal for employers in Nevada to discriminate against workers for marijuana use. 

Employers will still be allowed to administer pre-employment screenings for other drugs, but a positive result for cannabis can’t be used to not hire someone.

There are exceptions for people applying for jobs as firefighters, EMTs, other jobs that require driving a vehicle or any job where the federal government requires testing.
